Headquartered in Winnipeg, Animikii Ozoson Child and Family Services Agency’s “heart beat” and passion is centered in its mission of building strong community circles of care where healthy empowered families provide a nurturing place for children and everyone works together building a strong community and network.  Mandated through Southern First Nations Child and Family Services Authority, Animikii provides unique services to those with cultural ties and families from Ontario First Nations communities living in Winnipeg.  Since its inception in 2005, the agency has worked to build stronger voices for families and children while providing Aboriginal culturally appropriate community and family programs including Family Service/Family Preservation, Differential Response/Family Enhancement, Permanent Ward, and Alternative Care.

With a strong foundation in First Nations culture and traditions and known by many as an agency of choice this growing organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader in the role of Executive Director.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization strategically in the day-to-day operations, as well as developing, empowering and managing a committed and passionate team in a dynamic and cross-cultural environment.  This opportunity will appeal to an energetic professional who would like to utilize their creative and innovative skills to accomplish the holistic goals and objectives of the agency.  Strong communication skills are essential for this individual, who will thrive on proactively developing, promoting and enhancing the services and programs of the organization.  She/he will have a track record of success in fostering a strong collaboration amongst staff, community partners, government agencies, program participants and the community at large.
